For auction is a Prince SpeedPort Platinum 1700pl Super Oversize tennis racket with new Luxilon strings in very good + condition. Originally listed for $289 in 2008. This was Prince's most powerful racquet frame. 4 3/8”

REVIEW- With main strings that extend down into the throat, the Speedport Platinum caused a stir among players. The configuration is called the O3 Strung-Thru-Stringing system, and its purpose is to enlarge the racquet’s sweet spot. According to Prince, the extended strings, along with the grommet-less Speedport string holes, give the Platinum a 70 percent larger sweet spot than a traditional racquet. It certainly impressed players, as did the ample power. As long as you have a short or slow swing, you get reasonable control and stability. Adult beginners or accomplished seniors may find a lot to like here. And if it’s got too much pop, you can choose not to string the racquet through the throat, which reduces the hitting area from 125 square inches to 118 square inches and tones down the power, a nice customization option not normally found on a game-improvement frame.FEATURES- If they ranked racquets according to value, the Prince SpeedPort Platinum would rate near or at the top.
