The DR 98 starts from a solid base, its 98 square inch head combining with a rock-solid 11.5 oz (strung). weight and head light balance, along with a control-focused 23/24/19 mm beam taper for control of bigger swings. The DR 98 sports several new technologies to improve comfort and racquet speed. The new Nanometric DR material provides more flexibility and resilience to the frame to provide a faster frame snapback for improved ball speed, while the offers increased flex and stability for added spin and control. Not to be outdone in the comfort area, Yonex’s Dual Shut Systemplaces shock-absorbing material in the throat and side grommets and grip to reduce shock by 50% over traditional frames.
