Gorgeous Vintage Wood 1920 N J Magnan Expert North Attleboro Mass Tennis Racket Fabulous bright clean and crisp condition. Antique old early wood wooden racquet from the Boston Providence areaNOTE: Part of a group of rackets I just found. I will list one racket a day between September 17 and September 26. Will combine items for reduced postage for multiple purchases.MODEL: 1920 N J Magnan “Expert” made in North Attleboro, Mass U S AHEAD: Classic period elongated oval; stock is square and very gently chamfered as it goes around the top of the head WARPING: noneFRAME: wonderful crisp and clean condition; original finish is like new; much less than expected wear to the top of the headTHROAT WEDGE: Concave and laminated in place in the style of the periodSTRINGS: looks like original lamb gut: red crosses and mustard mainsBANDING: all 8 original silk bands on the head in wonderful intact conditionDECALS: As shown; beautiful and complete GRIP: 4 7/8 inches; pre-dates grip materialSTAMPS: none PENCIL WRITING: 13 oz and $ 1100 This is probably an original store marking from 100 years ago; the racket was used so little that it is still completely legible.WEIGHT: weighs 13.3 ounces actual weightEND CAP: leather strip completely intact and unworn as shown in the photo; end cap perfect as shown Postage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight.
