Heavy Great Finish Vintage Wood 1915 Wright & Ditson Davis Cup Tennis Racket I love the crackled alligatored original finish on this racket. Heavy weight antique old early wood wooden racquet with deep wide grooves on four sides. Terrific racket!NOTE: Part of a group of rackets I just found. I will list one racket a day between September 17 and September 26. Will combine items for reduced postage for multiple purchases.MODEL: 1915 Wright & Ditson DAVIS CUP HEAD: Classic period elongated oval; stock is square at the shoulders and rounded as it goes around the top of the head WARPING: noneFRAME: wonderful beautiful “crackled” original finish gives this racket lots of “pizzazz”; expected wear to the top of the headTHROAT WEDGE: Concave in the style of the periodSTRINGS: original lamb gut in intact condition with great stringing pattern. No breaks in mains and crosses.BANDING: both original silk color coordinated bands in wonderful intact conditionDECALS: As shown; beautiful and complete GRIP: 5 ¼ inches; very large size; pre-dates grip materialSTAMPS: 13 ½ 1 D WEIGHT: weighs 14.4 ounces actual weightEND CAP: leather strip completely intact with almost no wear as shown in the photo; end cap as shownPostage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight.
