This was Prince's ULTIMATE Racket in the 1980s. While everyone else was experimenting with graphite, steel, aluminum and fiberglass. Prince discovered that the light weight and extreme strength of one of the most expensive elements, Boron, was just perfect for their top of the line high tech oversize (110 sq") masterpiece. It was given high praise by Pros and club players as well. It became the ultimate status symbol for those who could afford it. The list price was just over $400, and that was in 1980s dollars more like $1,200 today.
So here is your opportunity to own one of these extremely rare and collectable pieces in near mint condition. There is not a mark on it with the exception of two bottom grommets which appear to have been damaged and repaired by the stringer. (See photos)
The racket comes with what looks like a calf skin leather racket cover. Although the racket itself is pristine, unfortunately, the case has what appear to be exterior water stains marring both sides.
