This vintage Rawlings "Tie Breaker" John Newcombe model tennis racquet is both rare and highly collectible. Rawlings is most known for its baseball equipment as opposed to tennis. As well, this particular model was marketed as an exclusive racquet only sold by tennis pros. This racquet comes with its original head cover and is I. Remarkable shape given its age. It shows only light "played-in" wear with only light scratching and scuffs on the head frame. Take a look at the closeup picture of the grip and you can see how little action this racquet has seen as there is only minor wear. It's a great collector's piece that bridges the gap from the wooden racquet era to graphite.
