Item Description Wilson Pro Staff 85 Midsize Cap Code "HUQ" With Carrying CaseThis Racquet Is A Very Early Example of Wilson's Legendary Pro Staff. I believe this racquet to be the first version produced given the indentifiers on the racquet. Please read notes for details.
Previously-ownedBrand: WilsonCondition: Pre-Owned Really Good Condition I Consider This To Be a 7.5/10. The only flaws are the spec sticker is missing from inside of the throat (i believe it to be missing but cannot confirm it's original presence as this racquet was acquired in a used condition), and the gold leafing on the Fairway grip is no longer present but the indentation of the Fairway lettering remains present.There is typical wear from play but it is minimal and no major cracks, scrapes or deep scratches are present (it was difficult to even find the tiny area where red primer shows through). I've attempted to take as many close frame photos so as to show exactly how minimal the wear on this piece is. IF you would lie more please ask as i was limited to the number of photos I could attach to this listing
Notes: There are some key identifiers that are present that lead me to believe this racquet is a VERY Early Chicago/St. Vincent Model. - Original bright yellow and red pinstriping- Bumperless construction- Grip size sticker, recommended tension sticker "String at 65-70 lbs." - End cap code ending in "Q" (this racquet has the code "HUQ")- Three separate raised throat grommets- Brown Fairway leather grip- White butt cap with large red "W"- No registered trade mark symbol- Red primer seen at grommet drill holes or through scratches in the top black coat- Buttcap code located below red "W"- Pinstriping and "Midsize" on both sides of throat- Wilson Pro Staff nylon racket bag with strap, without grip venting If you need any additional photos to see the piece more closely, or particular areas of the piece that you’re not able to see from the photos, please ask and I will be happy to provide them.
