Relive the glory days of Borg- McEnroe. Put your headband on and do your best McEnroe impression with this vintage racket that bears his name. Half volley everything. Drop shot with ease. FEEL THE WOOD. Racket is in very good condition. No cracks in the wood or in the grommets. Very light scratches on the top of head. Comes with the original leather grip which is still in very good condition. Racket was always stored indoors. This is the precursor to the 200g and was one of the last rackets of the wooden era. I'm sorry but I'm not taking offers unless it's for a mint max 200g 👌
Made in England. 4 1/2 grip. Details: "Dunlop Maxply McEnroe racket was introduced 1981 and final version launched in 1982. A racquet that combined the accuracy of wood with the increased power and durability of fiberglass. McEnroe used this racquet in 1982 and 1983, before entering the graphite racquet era.. So this is the last version of legendary Dunlop Maxply, 'The most popular wood ever' introduced in 1931, before the line in wood stopped 50+ years later" .. Rod Leaver `64-`70, Ilie Nastase `73 and John McEnroe `81 were World No.1 Dunlop Maxply Fort. This stick still holds the record by the number of Slam titles won by one racket, also, R.Leaver won 2 of 3 Grand Slams in man competition with it - a success that may never be repeated. If it could be said for any racket that tennis history was written with it, than probably would be legendary Dunlop Maxply Fort ..
