This 660 FT REEL, Gauge 1.37 mm, of BLUE SPIRAL NYLON RACQUET STRINGS is a genuine survivor from an early 1960's / 1970's,Tennis Pro Shop,& has been kept in storage---still brand new, never been used /opened---- ever since. It will be appealing not only to a wide audience of Tennis Collectors of racquets from that era, especially wood racquets, also metals & composites, but to players who are looking for a cheap strong durable string...it is like anything else in this modern world, in that the strings of 'yesteryear' were much more durable than today's strings, as were the leather grips, & even the racquets!These sets are part of a large collection of Vintage String / Reels / Leather Grips / Racquets etc., that have been kept unused in storage in mint condition, from this great era in Tennis History. Spiral Nylon Tennis Strings were extremely popular in the 1960's / 1970's, because they were extremely durable, & you still see them today on most of the Wood Rackets from this era...
