Play with a new classic wood racquet! Never used, never strung. 4 1/2 grip size. Made in JapanI own a same racquet for play so I can describe it's characteristics - simply put, it's a stable and powerful frame with a bigger sweet spot than most woodies. I'd attribute it to the bamboo layer around the head; it seems responsible for a firm yet flexible reflex that helps make each shot a predictable and powerful one. The top of the head is a bit more flexible, like a Maxply Fort, which helps with touch shots and serves, imo. It's also fast through the air due to the thin throat, thereby generating more speed at impact. I've found this racquet to require very little effort to play and I feel confident hitting against many players wielding a modern frame. Just today, I got a compliment on how well I hit with it, something that I don't hear when I'm hitting with other wood racquets. By the way, it's really easy on the arm and shoulders as well.
