Spalding "THE PROFESSIONAL" Tennis Racquet. Very rare racquet. Desirable 4 3/8 grip. Racquet is in 9.5/10 condition. Looks like new (see pictures). No court rash anywhere. The paint looks factory fresh. Strung with an unknown synthetic gut at an unknown tension. Strings are tight with no fraying. Grommets look like new. Nice leather grip in great shape with just some light staining. Buttcap is attached and has Spalding logo on it. Everything on this racquet is in like new condition, so it probably never saw a tennis court. Here are the official specs – Head Size:90 sq. in. Length: 27 inches / 69 cm Strung Weight: 11.8 oz / 333g Balance: 8 pts Head Light Beam Width: 21 mm Grip Type: Leather String Pattern: 14 Mains / 18 Crosses This racquet looks exactly like the famous Spalding The Taxi frame from the 1980’s, except it has white base paint instead of yellow. The graphic pattern and much of the labeling is exactly the same as the Taxi, which leads me to believe it an earlier or later iteration of The Taxi design. This would make a great classic player’s frame if you like those or a great addition to a Spalding racquet collection. All racquets are sold as is but guaranteed to match the description.
