The 1000G is 27.5 inches long and weighs 9.15 ounces unstrung. The 1000G incorporates Dunlops Iinternally Cooled Engineering where the racket is rapidly cooled by the use of cool air being blown around the frame on both the inside and outside of the hoop. This helps to form a powerful crystalline fusion of resin and carbon fiber. It is a variable beam width of 28/27/24/21 mm. This racket is for the player with a moderate stroke speed and length that wants exceptional power with superb touch and feel. Features unique to the 1000G are the recessed throat bridge that provides a nice soft ball pocket. Soft rubber finishes on the sides for enhanced player comfort, and a thermoplastic vibration dampening system above the handle which absorbs vibration and helps protect the arm from tennis elbow. The recommended string tension is 55 to 65 lbs in this 16X20 fan string pattern. I recommend going down 3 lbs on the cross strings to equalize string pressure throughout the string bed.The Columbian Tennis Shop business model is to stock hard to find rackets for customers who do not want to change rackets. As these are the original grips and pressured sealed from manufacture, some have come part when removing the plastic.
