This is a rare collectible tennis racket made entirely of steel, including the head, handle and strings. It is no longer marked with a manufacturer, but the all-steel tennis rackets were made by the Dayton Steel Company and were popular in the twenties. The racket is about 26" long and 9" wide and weighs less than one pound (unpacked). The head is strung with its original steel piano wire. The racket has its original green paint finish and is marked "Junior Pilot". The grip was painted to give kind of a leather look, and this reddish brown splotchy paint has partially worn off. It is not rust.
