The GDS Spirit weighs 9.5 oz. unstrung and is balanced at 340 mm. Fischers Grip Dual System (GDS) which inserts a vibration absorbing material between the two sides of the shaft for superb vibration reduction without a loss of feel. It also features Fischers Air Carbon and Titanium composites refined from years of experience in the aeronautics industry where Fischer engineers earned their stripes. Fischer designed this racket for the player with an all-around game with a medium swing style who wants a little power from the racket without losing control. The 27 inch length makes this racket easy to maneuver at the net yet comfortable on the passing shots. I personally rate this a very player friendly frame and compare it favorably to the Head Ti.S5. The Spirit comes with the Full Racket Case pictured which features an adjustable shoulder strap, vented grip, and an inside identity card pocket, as well as the Gamma Shockbuster vibration absorber pictured. Recommended string tension is 45 to 65 lbs in this 16X21 string pattern where I recommend going down 3 lbs in the cross strings to equalize pressure throughout the string bed. String + String Installation are available for purchase. You can choose from over 100 different strings/colors with installed prices ranging from $19 to $35. The Columbian Tennis Shop business model is to stock hard to find rackets for customers who do not want to change rackets. As these are the original grips and pressured sealed from manufacture, some have come part when removing the plastic.
