Gorgeous Bright Clean Vintage Wood 1910s Wright & Ditson COLUMBIA Tennis Racket 100 Years Old HARDLY USED! CLASSIC Antique nice old early wood wooden racquet with contrasting wood tones & excellent decalsNOTE: Part of a group of 12 rackets fresh to the market. I have listed two rackets a day between June 16 and June 21. Will combine items for much reduced postage for multiple purchases.MODEL: 1910s Wright & Ditson COLUMBIAHEAD: Classic period oval; stock is square at the shoulders and gently chamfered inward as it goes around the head WARPING: noneFRAME: excellent super clean condition; beautiful old original finish with light paint wash on the bow; almost no wear to the top of the headTHROAT WEDGE: convex 5-piece 1905 patent wedge in the style of the period; owner’s name lightly carved on one side as shownSTRINGS: as shown: they probably popped from drying out over the yearsBANDING: none; predates banding DECALS: As shown; excellent condition. GRIP: large 5 1/8 inches; pre-dates grip material STAMPS: 6 (9?) at the neck; 8 on the shaftWEIGHT: weighs 14.2 ounces actual weightEND CAP: beautiful leather strip intact with very minor losses; end cap as shown: the W & D logo is there but very hard to seePostage will be based on 3.5 pounds of packed weight.
