This is a rarity, a 1970's Rod Laver Chemold Professional Model tennis racket that still has the plastic sealed handle and the original display advertising piece on the racket to help sell it. Has greats like Roy Emerson, Margaret Court, Owen Davidson along with legendary Laver. Some light age lines of the white around neck and down handle that just adds to the character of this magnificent find. Winning is easier with a Chemold tennis racquet, features finest quality hardwoods, electro bond welded, reinforced fiber, luster flex finish, top quality nylon strung, and select quality grips or so says the sign. 4 5/8" grip but not like you are buying it to play with, unless you are Laver. Even has the original plastic that went over the entire racket inside the cover. The cover while new has been out in the garage for a long time and is a bit dirty and musty smelling. How often do you come across a truly new racket from 40 years ago with the cool advertising piece on it?
