Wilson Steam 99LS 4 ¼ gripThis was one of my last of several Steam “LS” racquets I purchased. I have tried many Wilson, Babolat and Head racquets. I liked the Wilson 99LS so much I bought a bunch of them. This racquet allows you to generate an extreme amount of spin without even changing your swing. This racquet is great around the net but excels when you swing through your shot. The ability to get the ball quickly up and down is phenomenal. I found myself hitting angles and catching lines I never could have before. I loved this lighter version of the racquet for its great maneuverability at the net and the ability to really generate racquet head speed. This racquet is new and never used. I put an over grip on over the original grip plastic. You can see in the picture the plastic is still on the original grip. I installed the head tape as well and you can see there are no scuffs. Racquet is strung with Black Widow 17g @58lbs.
Please review the pictures to see this racquet is still brand new and realize how difficult it is to find one of these (I think I only have 2 more unstrung). If you are a fan of this racquet, you know how rare an opportunity it is to find one of these and still new and already strung.
Paid full price for this racquet new $199 + $31 for string.Over the last couple of years I have purchased a number of new racquets, especially if I love a particular racquet. I want to stock up before the manufacture stops producing the line (as happened). The new Burn was a horrible replacement. If this racquet is not what you are looking for, look at my other ebay items as I have several racquets to sell.
