Volkl's most powerful racquet, the DNX 1 POWER ARM, gets updated with Power Bridge technology for even more power as well as a more solid feel. Not only does this racquet impress with immense power, but it also packs a very comfortable response. The innovative Power Bridge construction is designed to considerably increase the stability of the yoke area of the racquet, making the entire racquet more powerful and dynamic. The POWER ARM technology is constructed so that the throat of the racquet is attached to the frame just above the handle and moves independently from the head of the racquet. According to Volkl, the POWER ARM is pulled backward upon ball impact. Right at the moment the ball changes direction, the POWER ARM recoils dynamically and leads to extreme acceleration on the ball. Our on court hitting experiences parallel Volkl's power claims, and there's no doubt this racquet brings the heat. The sweet-spot feels extremely generous on this racquet with off-center shots still coming off the racquet face with impressive pace and a comfortable feel. Only a short and compact swing is required to hit with consistent depth and a controlled pace. Longer, faster swings offer excellent access to spin as well as tons of power. Ideally suited for the player looking for a blend of power and comfort, the Power Bridge 1 offers big performance for players at the beginner to 3.5 level.
