The hitting surface is smooth, high-tech graphite. Graphite is extremely strong but also very light, perfect for pickleball paddles. With no edge guard, the Surge has a unique balance that is weighted more toward the paddle's handle. A honeycomb interior gives the paddle great strength while keeping the weight low at 7.1 to 7.3 ounces. The small grip has a perforated design for moisture wicking power and long gripability. This Graphite Wilson Surge may be on the smaller end of the size spectrum, but it packs a lot of punch. It has a total length of 15-3/8” and a total width of 7-1/2”. The handle is a good-sized length of 5”, allowing a lot of reach. The strong honeycomb interior gives you the power you need to hit the baseline as well as sink the ball right in your opponent’s kitchen.
